在英語(yǔ)國(guó)家，工作單位對(duì)各部門(mén)的職責(zé)分工非常明確。員工各司其職，互不越位。如果在工作中員工的行為超越了自己的工作職責(zé)范圍而受到人身傷害，那怕是在為公司做好事，公司也可以不負(fù)責(zé)任的。在這一聽(tīng)力練習(xí)中的員工因?yàn)檎镜阶雷由先バ揠姛舳は聛?lái)受了傷，但按照公司勞動(dòng)守則規(guī)定，修電燈并不是他的職責(zé)，他因此受了傷，公司本來(lái)是可以不管的。

英語(yǔ)中用來(lái)表司職責(zé)，義務(wù)的單詞和詞組主要有

1．To be under (an) obligation
“負(fù)有……的義務(wù)，有義務(wù)做……”，比如：we are under no obligation to give him what he wants. 我們沒(méi)有他要什么就給什么的義務(wù)。

2．To be obliged to do sth
“必須（做某事）”，比如：Parents are obliged to send their children to school. 家長(zhǎng)必須讓他們的子女去上學(xué)。

3．Have to do sth
“不得不……”，表示有外部客觀因素導(dǎo)致的職責(zé)和義務(wù)，比如：the train leaves at six o’clock, so I have to get up early tomorrow. 火車明天六點(diǎn)開(kāi)，所以明天我只好早起。

4．Must
“應(yīng)該，必須”，表示說(shuō)話人主觀上認(rèn)為有義務(wù)這樣做。比如：I must clean my teeth everyday. 我應(yīng)該每天刷牙。

5．To be required to do sth.
“ 被要求做……，必須做……”，比如：All passengers are required to show their tickets. 所有乘客都必須出示車票。
