close, shut, slam
這些動詞均有“關”之意。
close : 較多地用于正式或莊重的文體中，如關閉鐵路、公路以及其它交通渠道，要用close。
This factory is closing soon.（這家工廠很快就要關閉。）
The door won't close.（這門關不上。）
shut : 著重關閉的動作、過程和方式手段。
He shut the book and put it away.（他把書合起來, 放到一邊。）
She would shut her eyes tight.（她把眼睛閉得很嚴。）
slam : 象聲詞，指“砰的關上”，或用力關上。
In a fury he slammed the windows.他怒氣沖沖, 砰地把窗戶關上。）
He slammed the door shut.（他砰地把門關上了。）
