cold, cool, chilly, frosty, freezing, icy

這些形容詞均含“冷、涼”之意。

: 最普通用詞，強(qiáng)調(diào)缺乏溫暖，使人不舒服。

I can't stand the cold.（這么冷我受不了。）

: 指既不太熱也不太冷。

It's late summer; soon the days will be cooler.（夏末了, 很快天氣就將更涼爽。）

: 指使哆嗦的冷。

I grew chilly when the fire went out.（爐火熄滅后,寒氣逼人。）

: 指霧氣在寒冷物體的表面凝結(jié)成薄冰時(shí)的嚴(yán)寒結(jié)霜的溫度。

The day dawned cold and frosty.（天亮?xí)r天氣酷寒。）

ng : 指使人僵直，使東西凝固的冷。

It is freezing outside, and put on your winter coat.（外面很冷, 穿上你的大衣吧。）

: 多指風(fēng)暴、風(fēng)雪和水等冷得使人感到如刺如割。

An icy wind bit our faces.（寒風(fēng)撲面,冷徹骨髓。）
