company, corporation, firm
這些名詞均可表示“公司”之意。
company : 多指生產(chǎn)或銷售產(chǎn)品的公司、商號，也可指經(jīng)辦服務(wù)性項目的公司。
Our company keeps an account with the American Trading Company.（我們公司與美國貿(mào)易公司有往來）
corporation : 多指一個人擁有或多人聯(lián)辦的大公司，也指在其它地區(qū)或國家擁有分公司的公司。
The corporation was founded in 2006.（這個公司成立于2006年。）
firm : 含義廣泛，可指公司、商行或商號。規(guī)?？纱罂尚?，經(jīng)營、管理的人員可多可少。
The firm has agreed to give me a two weeks' holiday.（公司已經(jīng)同意給我兩個星期的假。）
