doubt, suspicion, distrust, uncertainty

這些名詞均有“懷疑”之意。

doubt : 指對事物的真、假有懷疑。

There is no doubt that the answer is wrong.（毫無疑問這個答案是錯的。）

suspicion : 語氣較強，指對某人做某事的目的、意圖有懷疑，或認(rèn)為某人做錯事，但無確鑿證據(jù)而產(chǎn)生懷疑。

Since they discovered the truth about his background, his colleagues have regarded him with suspicion.（他的同事雖然摸清了他的背景, 但對他還是疑神疑鬼的。）

distrust : 一般用詞，泛指對某人某事不信任而感到懷疑。

He looked at the stranger with distrust.（他懷疑地打量著那個陌生人。）

uncertainty : 側(cè)重指對某事或選擇等需作決定時的遲疑不決。

After six weeks of uncertainty, the strain was beginning to take its toll.（6 個星期的忐忑不安后，壓力開始產(chǎn)生影響了。）
