A cat that bears more than a passing resemblance to Lord Voldemort, chief villain of the Harry Potter series, has found a home after several national newspapers and even the BBC took up the homeless kitty’s cause.

一只貓，長得跟哈利波特里頭的大反派伏地魔不是一點點像，于是被人厭棄已久，但經(jīng)過幾家知名報紙甚至BBC的報道之后，總算找到了新家。

Potter fans generosity to take in the disfigured cat proved that, no matter how evil, everything about the Harry Potter franchise is beloved.

哈利波特粉絲以德報怨的熱情實在是令伏地魔情何以堪……咳，不過再次證明了，只要跟哈利波特有關，管它貌似多邪惡，都有人愛的。

The cat, Charlie, 14, was dubbed Voldermog by staff at a Southampton rescue centre because his ear tips and nose were removed after sunburn caused skin cancer to develop.? He had originally been a stray taken in by a local woman but was passed to the rescue centre when he failed to get along with her other pets.

這只14歲名叫查理的貓貓被Southampton動物拯救中心的工作人員戲稱為伏地貓，他的耳朵尖尖和鼻子被摘除了，防止流浪在外日曬多年引發(fā)的皮膚癌轉(zhuǎn)移。（小編：喵……太口年了~~）有個當?shù)氐膵D女曾經(jīng)收養(yǎng)過他，不過后來因為跟別的寵物處不好（小編：莫非是一只叫做哈利的老鼠？！還是叫布萊克的狗啊……）又送回來了。

Despite looking an awful lot like Lord Voldemort, portrayed in the Harry Potter series by Ralph Fiennes, welfare officers told the papers that Charlie was “an adorable, gentle big chunky chap, who loves fuss, lots of tickles and cuddles.”

雖然看著酷似哈利波特中的伏地魔，工作人員表示查理其實老可愛的，溫溫柔柔，喜歡被人撓癢癢和抱抱（小編：腦內(nèi)速度形成伏地魔被撓癢癢和抱抱的畫面……）。

With news of the unique moggy capturing the imaginations of several national newspapers, including The Mirror, and BBC news, it wasn’t long before news of Charlie’s plight had been met with thousands of offers of caring homes from Potter fans.

經(jīng)過數(shù)家媒體報道之后，要求收養(yǎng)查理的哈利波特粉絲們紛至沓來，數(shù)量高達幾千。

Laura Sleight, of the Blue Cross centre in Southampton, said: “There have been lots of offers, some from America.”

一位工作人員表示：“自動請纓的人好多，有些還是美國噠”。

Now Charlie is heading to a new home.? The new owners should be careful though – Charlie could be a horcrux…
