尊敬的戴秉國(guó)國(guó)務(wù)委員，
尊敬的各位使節(jié)、代表和夫人，
各位同事、女士們、先生們、朋友們：

今天，我們?cè)俅卧谶@里歡聚一堂，共迎新年。令我們特別高興的是，戴秉國(guó)國(guó)務(wù)委員和有關(guān)部門(mén)的負(fù)責(zé)人撥冗出席今天的晚會(huì)，與各位使節(jié)和新老朋友共敘友誼。一年來(lái)，各位駐華使節(jié)和夫人以及各位外交官們?yōu)樵鲞M(jìn)相互了解、促進(jìn)友好合作付出了辛勤的勞動(dòng)，做出了寶貴貢獻(xiàn)。我謹(jǐn)代表外交部并以我個(gè)人名義，向各位來(lái)賓致以最美好的節(jié)日祝福，向所有關(guān)心和支持中國(guó)外交的朋友們表示衷心的感謝！

We are once again gathered here on this joyful occasion to celebrate the New Year. And we are especially pleased to have with us today State Councilor Dai Bingguo and officials of relevant government agencies to renew friendship with Your Excellencies and other friends, old and new. Over the past year, Your Excellencies Ambassadors and your spouses and other diplomats have worked tirelessly to enhance our mutual understanding and promote friendship and cooperation and made invaluable contributions. On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in my own name, I wish to extend festive greetings to you and express heartfelt thanks to all the friends who have shown care and support for China's diplomacy.

2010年是世界經(jīng)濟(jì)總體擺脫金融危機(jī)陰霾、步入復(fù)蘇軌道的重要一年。國(guó)際經(jīng)濟(jì)體系改革深入推進(jìn)，多邊主義和互利共贏的理念更加深入人心。同時(shí)，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)復(fù)蘇的脆弱性和不平衡性仍然存在，氣候變化、能源安全、糧食安全、防災(zāi)減災(zāi)等全球性挑戰(zhàn)更加突出，熱點(diǎn)問(wèn)題時(shí)有升溫，影響和平發(fā)展的因素更加復(fù)雜多元。面對(duì)國(guó)際形勢(shì)的復(fù)雜深刻變化，各國(guó)努力以合作謀和平，以穩(wěn)定促發(fā)展，表現(xiàn)出和衷共濟(jì)、共迎挑戰(zhàn)的堅(jiān)定決心。在這一過(guò)程中，中國(guó)與各國(guó)的互利合作得到進(jìn)一步深化，政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、人文等各領(lǐng)域交流得到新的拓展，在國(guó)際體系改革和國(guó)際多邊事務(wù)中的協(xié)調(diào)合作得到不斷增強(qiáng)。2010年是中國(guó)與世界聯(lián)系更加密切、互動(dòng)更為加強(qiáng)、合作進(jìn)一步提升的一年，是中國(guó)為世界的和平穩(wěn)定與發(fā)展做出新的貢獻(xiàn)的一年。

The year 2010 has been an important year for the overall world economy to emerge from the shadow of the financial crisis and embark on the track of recovery. Reform of the international economic system has gathered momentum, while multilateralism and win-win cooperation have won greater popular support. On the other hand, the world economic recovery remains fragile and uneven. Global challenges such as climate change, energy security, food security and disaster prevention and reduction have become more pronounced. Hotspot issues have heated up from time to time, and factors bearing on peace and development have got more complex and diverse. In the face of complex and profound changes on the world scene, all countries have worked hard to pursue peace through cooperation and promote development through enhanced stability, displaying a strong resolve to meet challenges with concerted efforts. During this process, the mutually beneficial cooperation between China and other countries has further deepened, our exchanges in the political, economic, cultural and other fields expanded, and our coordination and cooperation in the reform of the international system and multilateral affairs strengthened. This has been a year marked by closer links, greater interactions and stronger cooperation between China and the world, and by China's new contributions to world peace, stability and development.

2010年也是中國(guó)和平發(fā)展進(jìn)程中不平凡的一年。我們戰(zhàn)勝青海玉樹(shù)地震、舟曲特大泥石流等自然災(zāi)害，確保經(jīng)濟(jì)平穩(wěn)較快發(fā)展，成功舉辦上海世博會(huì)、廣州亞運(yùn)會(huì)，順利完成嫦娥二號(hào)衛(wèi)星探月任務(wù)。在這一過(guò)程中，我們得到了世界各國(guó)的廣泛理解和真誠(chéng)幫助。在此，我愿向各國(guó)政府及各位駐華使節(jié)對(duì)中國(guó)的寶貴支持表示衷心的感謝。

The year 2010 has also been an eventful year in the course of China's peaceful development. We have overcome such natural disasters as the Yushu earthquake and the massive Zhouqu mudslide. We have ensured the steady and relatively fast economic development, successfully hosted the Shanghai World Expo and the Asian Games in Guangzhou, and accomplished the Chang'e-2 lunar probe mission. In all these efforts, we have received broad understanding and sincere help from other countries. I wish to take this opportunity to express heartfelt thanks to all the governments and to you, diplomatic envoys in China, for the valuable support.

2011年是新世紀(jì)第二個(gè)十年的開(kāi)啟之年。世界多極化趨勢(shì)將繼續(xù)發(fā)展，世界經(jīng)濟(jì)復(fù)蘇和變革進(jìn)程將繼續(xù)演進(jìn)，各國(guó)圍繞后危機(jī)時(shí)期轉(zhuǎn)變發(fā)展方式、提高綜合國(guó)力的合作與互動(dòng)將繼續(xù)深化。2011年也是中國(guó)“十二五”規(guī)劃的開(kāi)局之年。中國(guó)將進(jìn)入全面建設(shè)小康社會(huì)的關(guān)鍵時(shí)期和深化改革開(kāi)放、加快轉(zhuǎn)變經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展方式的攻堅(jiān)時(shí)期。中國(guó)與世界的發(fā)展目標(biāo)一致，合作領(lǐng)域更加廣闊，面臨著新的歷史機(jī)遇。我們將積極順應(yīng)國(guó)際國(guó)內(nèi)形勢(shì)的新變化新要求，始終不渝走和平發(fā)展道路，始終不渝奉行互利共贏的開(kāi)放戰(zhàn)略，堅(jiān)持和平發(fā)展、科學(xué)發(fā)展、合作發(fā)展、共贏發(fā)展，與國(guó)際社會(huì)一道，為促進(jìn)世界和平、穩(wěn)定與繁榮作出新的貢獻(xiàn)。

The year 2011 marks the beginning of the second decade of the 21st century. The world will continue to move towards multi-polarity, while the process of global economic recovery and reform will further evolve. Countries will engage in deeper cooperation and interactions as they endeavor to transform their economic development patterns and enhance overall national strength in the post-crisis era. Next year marks the start of the implementation of China's 12th five-year plan. We will enter a crucial period in our effort to build a moderately prosperous society in all respects, deepen reform and opening-up and accelerate the transformation of the economic development pattern. With the same development goals, China and the rest of the world will enjoy a wider arc of cooperation and face new historic opportunities. We will proactively adapt ourselves to the new developments and needs of the domestic and international situation, stay committed to the path of peaceful development, unswervingly follow the win-win strategy of opening-up, pursue peaceful, scientific, cooperative and win-win development, and work with other countries to make greater contributions to world peace, stability and prosperity.

一元復(fù)始，萬(wàn)象更新。在新的一年里，我們期待著繼續(xù)與各位使節(jié)和朋友保持良好合作，共同為推動(dòng)雙邊關(guān)系發(fā)展而不懈努力！

With the beginning of the new year, everything takes on a new look. We look forward to continuing our good cooperation in the coming year for the sustained growth of our relations.
