在英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中，表因果關(guān)系或?qū)Φ汝P(guān)系的連接詞有：therefore, so, as a result, as the result of …，because of, due to …,owing to, thanks to等。
therefore意思是結(jié)果、對(duì)某事進(jìn)行推論、因此、所以、故、乃，therefore的用法在英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)中也很廣泛：它有兩種用法：
therefore是副詞，但有時(shí)具有連詞作用。

1、當(dāng)therefore在整句中時(shí)，它一般不放句末，放在句首后要有逗號(hào)，放在句中時(shí)前后都要有逗號(hào)。
例如：Therefore，we must learn English well.
They therefore can learn English well.
Many fast food restaurant ,therefore,have red furniture or walls.

2、當(dāng)therefore用在分句中時(shí)，即一個(gè)句子一部分表示原因一部分表示結(jié)果。
這時(shí)一般詞前要用分號(hào)，其后用不用逗號(hào)無(wú)所謂。若第二個(gè)分句前是逗號(hào)或無(wú)符號(hào)，則要注意therefore是副詞，和so不一樣，要保持句子完整，應(yīng)用and therefore。
例如：I had a headache，therefore I could not go to your party.
The truth is that junk bonds were misnamed, and therefore misunderstood.
They had seen him trawling and therefore knew that there were fish.

3、在我們英語(yǔ)考試中，大家最好用therefore 別用so。因?yàn)閟o比較簡(jiǎn)單，顯得文章水平低，而用therefore會(huì)顯得你的作文更好，更容易引起閱卷人的注意，給閱卷人好的印象。
The lime water has turned cloudy, therefore carbon dioxide has been produced during the experiment.
Rescue workers are therefore drilling a hole on the north side of the mine.
