Glam Rock：華麗搖滾?

Glam rock is a style of rock and pop music that developed in the UK in the early 1970s, which was performed by singers and musicians who wore outrageous clothes, makeup and hairstyles. The flamboyant costumes and visual styles of glam performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been connected with new views of gender roles.?
華麗搖滾，音樂如同它的名字，以炫目華麗的服飾和舞臺表演著稱。表演者的裝扮通常妖艷曖昧，不分性別，華麗搖滾代表了對性別身份的顛覆和質(zhì)疑。

Heavy Metal：重金屬

Heavy metal developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness.
重金屬的特色在于暴躁、極重的擊打、失真吉他音色，無拘無束釋放能量和表達自我。

Power Metal：力量金屬

Power metal is today associated with fast tempo and melodic harmonies.Power metal is highly focused on the vocalist, with "clean" vocals being much more prevalent than the growling vocals often associated with death metal and black metal. The majority of the genre's vocalists sing in the tenor range, capable of hitting very high notes.
力量金屬也是重金屬的一種，特色在于速度+好聽的旋律。力量金屬中的人聲很突出，相比死金中低沉含混的“死腔”，唱力量金屬的高音比較多，通常能飆出很高的音。力量金屬的音樂主題一般是戰(zhàn)爭、史詩等宏大題材。

Folk Metal：民謠金屬?

Folk metal is a sub-genre of heavy metal music. As the name suggests, the genre is a fusion of heavy metal with traditional folk music. This includes the widespread use of folk instruments and, to a lesser extent, traditional singing styles.
民謠金屬也是重金屬的分支，只是樂器中融入了像提琴等民謠樂器，音樂主題通常是以民族傳說、民族文化為主。

Black Metal：黑金屬

Black metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music. Black metal guitarists usually favour high-pitched guitar tones and a great deal of distortion. Traditional black metal vocals take the form of high-pitched shrieks, screams and snarls. This is in stark contrast to the low-pitched growls of death metal.
黑金是重金屬的一種極端分化，以快速的節(jié)奏、高聲尖叫的唱腔和強烈失真的吉他音為主要特色。黑金的唱腔是很高的尖叫式，與死金中低沉的嘶吼形成鮮明對比。黑金的音樂題材一般都是反基督的。

Death Metal：死亡金屬

Death metal is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal. It typically employs heavily distorted guitars, tremolo picking, deep growling vocals, blast beat drumming. Death metal vocals are often guttural roars, grunts, snarls, and low gurgles colloquially known as death growls.
死金也是一種極端的重金屬，極度失真的吉他音、強烈的快速節(jié)奏、暴躁驚人的鼓點，貝斯和吉他的刺耳爆炸聲貫穿歌曲始終，沒有喘息機會。歌手通常使用很低的很陰暗的吼叫聲，也就是所謂的“死腔”，像野獸的低語。

Thrash Metal：鞭韃金屬?

Thrash metal is a subgenre of heavy metal that is characterized usually by its fast tempo and aggression. Lyrics of thrash metal songs often deal with social issues using direct and denunciatory language.Thrash tends to have an accelerating feel which may be due in large part to its aggressive drumming style.
鞭撻金屬通常給人一種不斷加速的感覺，因為鼓點的節(jié)奏很具有侵略性。他們的歌詞一般是與社會問題相關(guān)，用語比較粗俗尖刻。

Melodic Death Metal：旋律死亡金屬

In melodic death metal，melodic elements make up a key part of the overall sound through use of clean vocals, acoustic guitars, and keyboards. The vocal style of the genre is a combination of harsh screaming, clean harmonies, and death growls.
旋律死亡金屬比起死金，旋律性更強，音樂結(jié)構(gòu)明顯，有時候人聲會很清晰而不是使用死腔。旋律死亡金屬樂隊大多來自北歐斯堪的那維亞，因為當初在瑞典首府哥德堡（Gothenburg）開始流行，所以又被稱為Gothenburg metal。

Progressive Metal：前衛(wèi)金屬?

Progressive metal is a subgenre of heavy metal. Many progressive metal bands are also influenced by jazz fusion and classical music. Like progressive rock songs, progressive metal songs are typically much longer than standard metal songs.
前衛(wèi)金屬融合了前衛(wèi)元素和古典元素，也受到了交響樂和古典樂的影響。歌曲通常很長。

Metal core：金屬核

Metalcore is a fusion genre combining various elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. The vocalizing technique in metalcore is generally screamed vocals. Today many metalcore bands combine screaming vocals with the usage of clean vocals.Metalcore emerged from the milieu surrounding youth crew hardcore punk subculture, with many of the groups adhering to straight edge beliefs (abstention from drugs and alcohol).
金屬核是極端金屬核硬核朋克的融合，早期的人聲是以刺耳的尖叫為主，現(xiàn)在大部分樂隊也會使用比較柔和清晰的人聲。金屬核最早是從硬核朋克的圈子里誕生的，這一個圈子中獨特的文化形式，straight edge，是以反對毒品、酗酒、濫交為主，是當時朋克人群對消極糜爛的生活態(tài)度的一種強烈反對。
