Plus, we just got Alaric back — and Enzo bumped to series regular — and we definitely need more than 22 episodes with them on our TV screens. But that’s not to say we want the CW vampire drama to go on for 17 seasons. (Sorry, Warner Bros.) With the ratings on the decline, Season 7 seems like the natural end for TVD.
