在本系列課程中,圣母院大學(xué)提出了“你會(huì)為什么而奮斗”這一話題,主要圍繞學(xué)生們和教職人員的研究、學(xué)術(shù)成就和社會(huì)行動(dòng)力展開。本片采取紀(jì)錄片形式,采訪了很多不同的人。

圣母大學(xué)(University of Notre Dame)創(chuàng)建于1842年,位于美國印第安那州的南灣市,是一所文理兼顧的著名私立大學(xué)。大學(xué)校風(fēng)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、純正,學(xué)生非常熱衷于各項(xiàng)志愿的社會(huì)工作,也有大量學(xué)生加入社會(huì)事務(wù)中心,幫助照顧老人及傷殘人員。

Lisa Del Preet's son, Mateo, has autism,a developmental disability that impairs social development,affecting one in every 100 children in this country.
The University of Notre Dame is working to break down the communication barriers associated with this common disorder through the innovative use of robots in clinical therapy.
The purpose of using interactive robots is to provide a motivation for the children with autism because they tend to have this intrinsic interest in technology.

用互動(dòng)機(jī)器人的目的是為自閉兒童提供動(dòng)力,因?yàn)樗麄冇袑?duì)機(jī)器的本能的愛好。
