昨天，在萬(wàn)眾矚目的男子110米欄決賽中，遠(yuǎn)離賽場(chǎng)半年的中國(guó)飛人劉翔以13秒09的成績(jī)奪得冠軍，不僅連續(xù)第三次打破了賽會(huì)紀(jì)錄，并且成為亞運(yùn)會(huì)歷史上第一位三奪110米欄冠軍的選手。

預(yù)賽數(shù)萬(wàn)人助威，決賽7萬(wàn)人觀戰(zhàn)，劉翔的人氣指數(shù)毋庸置疑，他是亞運(yùn)會(huì)絕對(duì)的焦點(diǎn)。今天我們通過(guò)幾個(gè)句子來(lái)看看如何用英語(yǔ)表達(dá)“焦點(diǎn)”吧！

劉翔從手術(shù)、恢復(fù)、到回歸都受到人們的密切關(guān)注，當(dāng)他出戰(zhàn)周三的決賽時(shí)，這位27歲的小伙將成為萬(wàn)眾矚目的焦點(diǎn)。

pin是“釘”的意思，把所有眼睛都釘在某人或某物身上，可想而知就是“萬(wàn)眾矚目”啦。其中pin可以省略，直接說(shuō)all eyes will be on就可以了。另外句子中還出現(xiàn)了一個(gè)under the microscope，在顯微鏡下，把東西放在顯微鏡下肯定是要仔細(xì)觀察，所以它就是“嚴(yán)密監(jiān)視，細(xì)心觀察”的意思。

2. A new line of electric cars took center stage at the automobile show.
一新系列的電動(dòng)汽車成為了車展的焦點(diǎn)。

take center stage，占據(jù)中心舞臺(tái)，這也很好理解啦，意思就是to be the center of interest，成為大家關(guān)注的中心。如果是曾經(jīng)淡出視野又回歸了的話，那么就可以說(shuō)return to centre stage，重新成為焦點(diǎn)。

3. He's been in the limelight recently, following the publication of a controversial novel.
在出版了一部有爭(zhēng)議的小說(shuō)后，他最近成為了關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)。

Limelight是一種用來(lái)照射舞臺(tái)的聚光燈，在聚光燈下，大家馬上就能理解是什么意思了。當(dāng)然limelight也可以用spotlight（聚光燈）來(lái)代替。

4. When Maxtrix Revolution was on all over the world, Keanu Reeves became the man of the hour.
《黑客帝國(guó)3》在世界各地上映后，基努·里維斯成為了焦點(diǎn)人物。

從這句話中我們又學(xué)到一個(gè)關(guān)于“焦點(diǎn)人物”的表達(dá)：man of the hour。Of the hour其實(shí)就表示“目前的，現(xiàn)在的”，一個(gè)可以代表當(dāng)今的人就是a man who is currently an object of public attention，一個(gè)在當(dāng)下受公眾矚目的人物。
