She may have been given Toni Braxton's seal of approval, but that doesn't stop Jessie J from going up against other singing hopefuls as the star is reportedly set to compete in a Chinese singing competition.

The 29-year-old, who previously appeared as a judge on The Voice UK and Australia, is reported to be going up against several world renowned vocalists on Hunan TV's The Singer 2018.

The Chinese television series first started in January 2017 after undergoing a re-brand from it’s previous format, I Am A Singer. The new show structure now allows singers to compete, but also incorporates MCing, with the star's music partners taking up the role of hosting. This year’s competition will see Jessie J go head-to-head with Chinese rock star Wang Feng, Taiwanese pop star Angela Chang and Taiwanese singer Sam Lee.
《歌手》這檔節(jié)目是之前《我是歌手》的升級(jí)版,首映于2017年1月。節(jié)目中的游戲規(guī)則讓歌手們相互競(jìng)爭(zhēng),還有即興說(shuō)唱環(huán)節(jié)和同臺(tái)對(duì)手一起主持。在今年的節(jié)目中我們會(huì)看到結(jié)石姐和中國(guó)搖滾歌手汪峰,臺(tái)灣歌手張韶涵以及李圣杰。

According to StraitsTimes, the British songwriter arrived in China for the recording of the series on Tuesday 2 January, at the same time as the final line up was released. After completing her time as a judge on both The Voice UK and Australia, Jessie vocalised that she was stepping away from the programme to focus on her singing again.
據(jù)《海峽時(shí)報(bào)》的報(bào)道,1月2日周日這位英國(guó)歌手就會(huì)抵達(dá)中國(guó)來(lái)錄制節(jié)目,同時(shí)最終的檔期也會(huì)發(fā)布。在擔(dān)任了《英國(guó)之聲》及《澳大利亞之聲》音樂(lè)導(dǎo)師之后,Jessie坦言她對(duì)于歌唱類的綜藝節(jié)目敬而遠(yuǎn)之了。

She explained: ‘It's really time consuming and if I'm being honest with you, I get to the point where I'm in the chair and I just wanna sing.’ Continuing she said: ‘I'm sitting there and I want to tell them, “You have to do it better and I’m trying to coach you, but I just want to make it a duet.” So I know it's time.’
她解釋道:“老實(shí)說(shuō)(參加節(jié)目)很花時(shí)間,我做評(píng)委席上,我只想唱歌?!彼又f(shuō):“我坐在那里告訴他們,你可以做得更高,我會(huì)給你指導(dǎo),而事實(shí)上我只想和他們一起合唱?!?/div>

The star announced her new album R.O.S.E in September last year, naming the project after her mother who ‘gave her the gift of life’. ‘We give roses or a single rose as a gift with so many different feelings. This is my gift to you.’[/en]

去年9月Jessic發(fā)布了新專輯《R.O.S.E》(R.O.S.E.則分別代表了Realisations、Obsessions、Sex)以她母親rose的名字命名,是母親給了她生命的禮物。“很多時(shí)候我們通過(guò)一枝或者多枝玫瑰來(lái)表達(dá)我們自己不用的感受,這張專輯是我給你們的禮物?!?/div>
