上一期我們講到Clifford在緊急關(guān)頭幫了馬戲團(tuán)主，他一會(huì)兒當(dāng)訓(xùn)獸師，一會(huì)兒扮小丑。當(dāng)然，Clifford的能耐可遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不止這些呢！下半場(chǎng)，Clifford上演了最刺激的一幕……本文適合小學(xué)五年級(jí)學(xué)生閱讀。

1. The second half of the circus begins with the elephant parade. The biggest elephant has a cold and can't lead the parade. So Clifford slips into an elephant suit and gives them a hand. I mean a tail.
馬戲團(tuán)下半場(chǎng)演出從大象游行開(kāi)始。最大的那頭大象感冒了，不能引領(lǐng)隊(duì)伍。于是，Clifford迅速穿上一頭大象的服裝幫了他們一把，我的意思是，這“一把”不是他的手，而是他的尾巴。

2. Next comes the "human cannonball". The performer doesn't have any gunpowder for her cannon. So Clifford puffs and helps her out.
接下來(lái)是“人體炮彈”發(fā)射。表演者沒(méi)有大炮火藥了，于是 Clifford吹氣把她“發(fā)射”出去了。

3. Last, I am going up in a balloon with the circus owner.
最后，我和馬戲團(tuán)主乘坐氣球升空。

4. Oh no, the rope breaks. Clifford runs to save us. But he doesn't catch the rope. We are going away with the wind.
噢，糟糕！繩子斷了。Clifford跑著來(lái)救我們，但他沒(méi)能抓住繩子。我們隨風(fēng)越飄越遠(yuǎn)。

5. Clifford doesn't give up. He uses a pole as an arrow and telephone wires as a bow. He takes aim. Go!
Clifford沒(méi)有放棄努力，他拿一根桿做箭，電話線做弓。他瞄準(zhǔn)了，發(fā)射！

6. The balloon is falling like a rock. We are so scared.
氣球就象一塊石頭一樣往下落。我們很害怕。

7. But Clifford gets there in time. Everybody says it is the most exciting show of the day. Clifford saves the circus,and me.
但是Clifford及時(shí)趕到。大家都說(shuō)這是那天最令人興奮的表演。Clifford 救了馬戲團(tuán)，也救了我。
