WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange just free on bail. Assange emerge from London's High Court today and said it was great to smell fresh air again. He's now head into an English country mansion where he'll have to wear an electronic monitor.

President Barack Obama has said the war in Afghanistan remains " a very difficult endeavour ", the nation is "on track" to achieve its goals. Obama spoke as he released a government review of progress on the war in Afghanistan. It found that the power of ai-Qaida and Taliban is eroding.

A winter storm is making its way up the East Coast. Icy roads have been blamed for at least one fatal accident in the South. And treacherous conditions have prompted several road closures from New York to Georgia.

And in France, after nine months of tests, researchers have identified the head of King Henry IV, who's killed 400 years ago. The skull has been donated to a prince who today leads the Bourbon dynasty that the king founded.
