番茄并不是意大利的本土產(chǎn)物

番茄現(xiàn)在是意大利菜的靈魂食材，很難想象沒有番茄的意大利菜，但意大利其實本來沒有番茄。

不過現(xiàn)在它已經(jīng)無處不在了，而且意大利當(dāng)?shù)氐男迈r番茄吃起來確實不同凡響。

The tomato wasn’t introduced in Italy until the 1540’s. Today it might be hard to believe that tomatoes aren’t originally from Italy, but in fact, it wasn’t until the Columbian Exchange that tomatoes found their way here. There’s something special about the sun-kissed Italian tomatoes, though.
番茄直到16世紀(jì)40年代才被引進(jìn)意大利?，F(xiàn)如今很難讓人相信，番茄并非原產(chǎn)于意大利，實際上，直到哥倫比亞交易所問世后番茄才出現(xiàn)在了這里。不過這些被太陽親吻過的意大利番茄確實吃起來不一般。
