讓步狀語從句的引導(dǎo)詞主要有：as，though，although，even if，no matter+wh等等。一般翻譯為“盡管……”或“即使……”，就是我們?nèi)粘Ｉ钪杏玫摹巴艘徊秸f…”的感覺。

1、though, although表示“雖然，縱然”之意。

這兩個(gè)連詞意思大致相同，在一般情況下可以互換使用，不能與but連用。

例句：?

Although/Though he was worn out, he kept on working.?

雖然他已經(jīng)精疲力竭了，但仍然繼續(xù)工作。

2、as, though表示“雖然……但是”，“縱使……”之意。

as引導(dǎo)的讓步狀語從句必須以部分倒裝的形式出現(xiàn)，被倒裝的部分可以是表語、狀語或動(dòng)詞原形，though間或也用于這樣的結(jié)構(gòu)中，但although不可以這樣用。

例句：

Hard as/ though he works, he makes little progress.?

盡管他學(xué)習(xí)很努力，但幾乎沒取得什么進(jìn)步。

Child as/though he was, he knew what was the right thing to do.

雖然他是一個(gè)孩子，但他知道該做什么。

3、even if, even though 表示“即使……”，“縱使……”之意。

這兩個(gè)復(fù)合連詞的意思基本相同。它們?？苫Q使用，但意義有細(xì)微差別。even if引導(dǎo)的讓步從句含有強(qiáng)烈的假定性，而even though引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句時(shí)，是以從句的內(nèi)容為先決條件的，也就是說，說話人肯定了從句的事實(shí)。

例句：

We’ll make a trip even if the weather is bad.?

即使天氣不好，我們也要作一次旅行。

I will marry him even my father opposes to this marriage.?

我要嫁給他，即使我爸反對(duì)我們的婚姻。

4、“while”引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句用在句首，一般意為“盡管”，引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。

例句：

While he was tired, he went on working.

雖然他累了，但他還是繼續(xù)工作。

While I understand what you say, I can’t agree with you.

雖然我理解你的意思，但我還是不同意。

3.“No matter wh-”引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句

在英語中，我們可以用no+matter+what, who, when, where, how或者whatever, whoever, whenever, wherever, however 來引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，表示“無論”。請(qǐng)注意，這幾個(gè)連詞除了however之外，一般都可以單獨(dú)使用，而however后面通常要接形容詞或副詞，不單獨(dú)使用。

例句：

No matter who you are, you have to obey the orders and there is no exception.

無論你是誰，你都必須服從命令，沒有特例。

No matter how hard this work is, I will not give up until succeed.

無論有多難，我都不會(huì)放棄直到成功。

No matter which university you go to, you have to study hard as each university is unique.

無論你去上哪所大學(xué)，你都必須努力學(xué)習(xí)，因?yàn)槊克髮W(xué)都是獨(dú)特的。

He wanted to take no risks, however small.

他多小的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)也不想冒。
