READING: A trip to Los Angeles

Mr Wang and Grandma are going to Los Angeles, the USA, this Sunday to see Aunt Judy and Uncle Mike. Aunt Judy and Uncle Mike have lived in Los Angeles for six years. Mr Wang and Grandma have not been to the USA before. They plan to stay there for two weeks.

王先生跟奶奶打算在周日到美國(guó)洛杉磯去拜訪朱迪嬸嬸和邁克叔叔。朱迪嬸嬸和邁克叔叔在洛杉磯已住了六年。王先生跟奶奶都沒(méi)有去過(guò)美國(guó),他們打算在那里呆兩周。

They have already done a lot of things. They have bought their plane tickets. Grandma has bought Aunt Judy plenty of T-shirts and several silk scarves. However, they have not packed their suitcases yet.

他們已經(jīng)準(zhǔn)備了好多東西。他們買完了飛機(jī)票。奶奶還給朱迪嬸嬸買了一些T恤跟絲綢絲巾。然而,他們還沒(méi)有打包行李箱。

'Have you got enough space in your suitcase?' asks Grandma. 'Yes. I haven't got too many things. There are plenty of space in my suitcase for your clothes and silk scarves,' answered Mr Wang.

“你的箱子還有足夠多的空余空間嗎?”奶奶問(wèn)。“有的,我沒(méi)有準(zhǔn)備很多東西,這里有足夠空間來(lái)放衣物還有絲巾。”王先生答。

飛行之旅

Mr Wang: What time does your plane leave for Los Angeles tomorrow?
Grandma: At three o'clock in the afternoon.
Mrs Wang: How long does it take to travel to the airport?
Mr Wang: It take about one and a half hour.
Mrs Wang: What time shall we arrive at the airport?
Mr Wang: The plane ticket says, 'All passengers must arrive at the airport two hours before the department time.' We should arrive at the airport before one o'clock in the afternoon.
Grandma: Oh, no! We'll have to stay there for two hours.
Mr Wang: Don't worry. There are plenty of shops at the airport.
Mrs Wang: What time are we going to leave home tomorrow?
Mr Wang: We're going to leave home at eleven thirty in the morning.

王先生:明天你們的飛機(jī)幾點(diǎn)出發(fā)去洛杉磯?
奶奶: 下午三點(diǎn)。
王太太:那么去機(jī)場(chǎng)大概要多久?
王先生:大概一個(gè)半小時(shí)吧。
王太太:那我們應(yīng)該什么時(shí)候到機(jī)場(chǎng)?
王先生:機(jī)票上說(shuō),“所有乘客需提前兩小時(shí)到達(dá)候機(jī)室?!蔽覀儜?yīng)該在下午一點(diǎn)之前到那里。
奶奶: 哦,不是吧,我們要在那里呆倆小時(shí)?
王先生:別擔(dān)心,機(jī)場(chǎng)里有很多商店。
王太太:那我們明天什么時(shí)候離開(kāi)?
王先生:我們要在早上11點(diǎn)30分離家。
