A young couple drove several miles down a country road, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument, and neither wanted to concede their position.
一對(duì)年輕夫婦沿著一條鄉(xiāng)村小路行駛，他們先前剛吵了一架，誰(shuí)都不肯先妥協(xié)。

As they passed a barnyard of mules and pigs, the husband sarcastically asked, “Are they relatives of yours?”
當(dāng)他們駛過(guò)一群谷倉(cāng)前的騾子和豬時(shí)，丈夫諷刺地問(wèn)：“那些都是你親戚？”

“Yes,” his wife replied. “I married into the family.”
妻子答道：“是啊，我嫁進(jìn)他們家了嘛。”

“But I’m a college student.” The young man replied.

“In that case, give me the broom—I’ll show you how.”
“這樣啊，那給我掃帚——我先做一遍給你看?！?/div>
