vt. 強調；突出

Highlight = high-（高）+ -light（光），即最明亮的部分，原為繪畫術語，后引申詞義“做標記，強調”，同近義詞有emphasize，stress，常見的詞組短語有highlight the major problems強調主要問題、highlight the importance of強調……的重要性、highlight the differences凸顯差異、highlight innovation強調創(chuàng)新。

值得一提的是，在商務英語中，highlight還可以作名詞用，表示“亮點；最精彩的部分；最重要的事情”，如報告的亮點the highlights of the report、工作亮點performance highlight。
