Devalue（使貶值）= De-（向下）+ value（價值）。

Devalue作動詞，在商務(wù)英語中常表示“使貶值；降低……的價值”，同近義詞有depreciate，undervalue, cheapen。

常見的包含devalue的習(xí)慣用語有finance assets devalue金融資產(chǎn)減值、assets devalue資產(chǎn)減值、devalue provision減值準(zhǔn)備、inventory devalue provision存貨跌價準(zhǔn)備、devalue the currency貶值貨幣、devalue one’s achievement貶低某人的成就。
