China's evacuation of its nationals from Libya is drawing to a close. It is the largest such operation the country has undertaken. Many people were evacuated to third countries.

275 more people are flying home from Crete. They're the last group to leave the Greek island and are expected to arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport on Saturday afternoon. They couldn't contain their excitement over finally going home.

Since the end of February, the Chinese Embassy in Greece has chartered ships to Tripoli, Benghazi and other cities in Libya. Altogether nearly 15-thousand Chinese nationals were evacuated to Greece.

Staff members of the Embassy worked tirelessly to guarantee their safe return to China. Ambassador Luo Linquan saw off the last group at the airport.

The remaining nationals in third countries will be flown home shortly, bringing the operation to a close.
