China's Tsinghua and Peking universities have ranked in 35th and 43rd position on "The Times Higher Education" magazine's list of top 100 universities based on reputation.

英國《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》10日發(fā)布2011年世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)聲譽排行榜，中國清華大學(xué)和北京大學(xué)躋身百強，分列第三十五和第四十三位。

Universities in the United States dominated the list taking 45 of the places in the top 100, headed by Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Cambridge was the highest-ranking UK University on the list in third place, with Oxford ranked as sixth. Japan had five universities included on the list.

美國大學(xué)在排行榜上奪得前10名中的7席，有45所大學(xué)進入百強。美國哈佛大學(xué)位列榜首，麻省理工學(xué)院第二。英國是第二大贏家，劍橋大學(xué)名列第三，牛津大學(xué)名列第六，總共12所英國大學(xué)進入百強。日本5所大學(xué)躋身百強，其中東京大學(xué)名列第八。

Phil Baty, editor of The Times Higher Education World University Rankings, said: "In an ever more competitive global market... a university's reputation for academic excellence is crucial."

《泰晤士報高等教育副刊》主編菲爾·巴蒂說，在國際人才市場對學(xué)生、學(xué)者和學(xué)校管理人員的爭奪更為激烈的今天，大學(xué)享有良好的學(xué)術(shù)聲譽至關(guān)重要。
