One Inch Tall

If you were only one inch tall , you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast?
And last you seven days at least ,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall .?
If you were only one inch tall , you'd walk beneath the door ,?
And it would take about a month to get down to the store .
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread ,?
And wear a thimble on your head?
If youwere one inch tall .?
you'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum
you couldn't hug your mama , you'd just have to hug her thumb .
you'd run from people's feet in fright ,?
To move a pen would take all night ,?

一只跳蚤就會(huì)是一頭可怕的猛獸，
倘若你只有一寸高。
倘若你只有一寸高，便能穿越門下的縫隙，
而要行至商店則需要花上一個(gè)月的時(shí)間，
一小撮絨毛能變成你的溫床，
你能在一根蜘蛛絲上玩秋千，
頭上戴著頂針作為頭盔，
倘若你只有一寸高。
你能乘著一塊口香糖在廚房的水池里沖浪。
但你無(wú)法擁抱媽媽，你只能擁抱她的拇指。
你會(huì)驚恐地逃離人們的腳丫，
你需要花上一整夜的時(shí)間來(lái)搬動(dòng)一支鋼筆，
（而寫下這首詩(shī)則須花上十四年-----
