Libyan rebels are advancing once again towards the country's capital after ceasing control of two major oil terminals from Muammar Gaddafi's military. A week ago, rebels appeared on the verge of defeat in their efforts to oust Gaddafi, but international air strikes had kept the balance.

Emergency workers at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear complex are struggling to remove radioactive water from a reactor that is testing 100,000 times above normal. Tokyo Electric Power originally reported that radiation levels were 10 million times above normal, but later issued an apology and a correction.

An Athens, Georgia police officer has been laid to rest just two days after the suspect in his death surrendered on live television. Elmer Christian was gunned down last Tuesday as he tried to question 33-year-old Jamie Hood in connection of the recent carjacking and kidnapping.

Several New York news outlets say the single winning ticket from Friday's Mega Millions lottery belongs to a group of state workers. The ticket was purchased at this convenience store near the capital. And it's worth 319 million dollars.
