Working on the Phone

I can still remember my first phone call with a native speaker.

I was expecting a call and when the phone actually rang, my heart just sunk.

It was hard for me to overcome such nervousness, but luckily I am over it now.

Today I had to talk with the?Burson-Marsteller San Francisco office?to give them some detailed information?on our client.

It was a conference call. We?started out by exchanging greetings?but quickly moved on to business?matters.

I had to explain who our client?was to my San Francisco colleagues.

I started explaining the company’s?business areas, financial performance,?and many other things.

It was difficult for me to organize my?thoughts together so that I wouldn’t mumble?during the meeting.

But I guess I did a pretty good job today!

我還記得我第一次跟母語(yǔ)是英語(yǔ)的人通話的情景。
當(dāng)時(shí)我正在等他的電話，突然電話鈴響了，我感覺(jué)我的心猛地一沉。
想要克服那種焦躁感確實(shí)不是一件容易的事情，幸好，現(xiàn)在我已經(jīng)克服了。
今天我要聯(lián)系博雅公關(guān)舊金山公司，給他們提供委托人的詳細(xì)情況。
這是一個(gè)電話會(huì)議。我們以互相問(wèn)候開(kāi)始談話，然后馬上談轉(zhuǎn)到工作上。
我向舊金山的同事們說(shuō)明了委托人的情況。
我講了公司的貿(mào)易和財(cái)務(wù)情況及其他很多內(nèi)容。
剛開(kāi)始時(shí)，理清思路是一件很難的事情。
不過(guò)我今天做得不錯(cuò)！

4. I’ll check and let you know.
我核對(duì)完后再告訴你吧。

B: Not sure yet. I’ll check and let you know.

Yes. That annual report was very helpful.?

I have a meeting with their PR team this afternoon, so I’ll be able to get some?updated information as well.?
