Brad Pitt is trying hard to get people to reinterpret his recent horrible remarks about his former marriage to Jennifer Aniston. In an interview with Parade magazine, Brad called his marriage uninteresting and blamed his “pathetic” life in the “90s” on the union. But now, Brad keeps saying that everyone misread his words!

“That was never my intention for it to be spun that way,” he told People magazine on Sept. 19. “People read things into it that just weren’t there.”

This is the second time Brad has said that his statement about Jen and their marriage was misinterpreted. On Sept. 15, Brad issued a statement suggesting the exact same thing. “It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend,” he said. “It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself – and that, I am responsible for.”

It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to Jennifer] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.”
