When people attend social functions in America, some may say they are going in order to "network". What does "network" mean? Network can be used as either a noun or a verb. Your network is your social circle: your group of friends, coworkers, and colleagues. When you go networking, you are trying to expand your social circle. People often network because they want to develop more advantageous friendships and business relationships. They do so at parties and other events outside of work even though the activity can often help them with work. It is often helpful to know as many people as possible -- who knows when you might need their help! Or when you can help them!
在美國，人們參加社交活動(dòng)的時(shí)候，喜歡說他們要去參加一個(gè)活動(dòng)，目的是為了“network”?！皀etwork”可以是一個(gè)名詞也可以是一個(gè)動(dòng)詞，意思是“你的交友圈子”，可以是你的朋友、你的合作伙伴、你的同事。當(dāng)“network”用于動(dòng)詞的時(shí)候表示的是你想擴(kuò)大你的社交圈。 人們在工作之余參加一些活動(dòng)和聚會(huì)，而這些聚會(huì)可能對人們的工作有幫助。盡可能多認(rèn)識一些朋友總是有益的，誰知道什么時(shí)候你需要?jiǎng)e人的幫助呢？或者別人需要你的幫助呢？
