The Power of Words A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed of what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was a little deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.
語(yǔ)言的力量 一群青蛙在穿越樹(shù)林，其中兩只掉進(jìn)了一個(gè)深坑。當(dāng)其他的青蛙看到那個(gè)坑那么深，他們告訴那兩只青蛙他們和死了一樣，沒(méi)希望逃出來(lái)了。兩只青蛙沒(méi)聽(tīng)他們的話，使盡全身力氣想跳出來(lái)。其他的青蛙一直對(duì)他們說(shuō)停下來(lái)吧，不可能跳出來(lái)了。最后，其中一只青蛙聽(tīng)取了其他青蛙的說(shuō)法，放棄了。他掉落了下去，死了。 另外一只青蛙繼續(xù)全力地跳著。再一次的，上面的青蛙群對(duì)他喊，別那么痛苦了，放棄吧。而他卻跳得更有勁了，最后竟然跳了出來(lái)。他出來(lái)以后，其他青蛙問(wèn)，“你沒(méi)聽(tīng)見(jiàn)我們說(shuō)什么嘛？”這只青蛙解釋說(shuō)，他是聾的。 他以為他們從始至終一直在鼓勵(lì)他！
