【聽寫回顧】點(diǎn)擊回顧上一期聽寫?Let's go back to Japan. Well, amid the ongoing nuclear crisis in that country, nuclear safety is attracting greater attention. Delegates have gathered in Vienna for a ministerial conference hosted by the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Michael Weightman, he's Britain's chief nuclear inspector and head of the IAEA mission, led a 12-person team to inspect Japan's nuclear plants and met with Japanese officials last month. A long report has been released at the meeting, detailing the accident and the lessons that should be learned from it.
Mr. Weightman said it's possible to predict the consequences of natural disasters and take them into account in plant designs and layouts. He also urged the whole world to pay greater attention to nuclear safety.
