Coast guard officer death 'isolated case'

China says it believes the death of a South Korean Coast Guard officer____2____ .Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin once again expressed China's regret over the death Lee Cheong-ho, whose funeral was held on Wednesday. He added that China would like to actively cooperate with South Korea and take steps to resolve the issue. 41-year-old Lee was allegedly stabbed to death by a Chinese fishing boat captain during a clash in the Yellow Sea.


Japanese PM to start delayed China visit

Japanese media say Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda is set to visit China on Dec 25, and a Japanese Self-Defense Force warship will visit China next week in a sign of resuming China-Japan military exchanges.Kyodo News Agency says both countries expect Noda to pay a two-day visit to Beijing.Neither Beijing nor Tokyo____3____ . But the naval visit has been confirmed by China's Ministry of Defense.Mutual naval visits have been on hold since the collision last September between a Chinese trawler and Japanese coast guard patrol vessels.


China says anti-dumping tariffs on U.S. auto imports "based on laws and facts"

Obama marks the end of Iraq war

US President Barack Obama says the 9-year conflict in Iraq is now drawing to a close.
In a speech given in North Carolina, Obama pays tribute to the soldiers who served and died in the war."We're leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq with a representative government that was elected by its people.
