Pan AM’s Pacific Clipper arrives in New York, becoming the first commercial airplane to complete around-the-world flight.
1994.
An attacker clubs [-----3-----] Nancy Kerrigan on her right leg, among the men later sentenced to prison, the ex-husband of Kerrigan’s rival Tonya Harding.
And 1993.
The world loses two [-----4-----]. Jazz [-----5-----] Dizzy Gillespie, dies at age 75. And ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev, dies at age 54.
