With the recent cold weather in China,forecasters say the winter chill will continue across China for another fortnight due to active cold air flows.

The national weather authority says a strong cold front will sweep through this weekend, affecting areas in central and eastern China. Temperatures there are expected to drop by 6 to 10 degrees Celsius on average.

In some provinces such as Liaoning, Hebei, Zhejiang, Anhui and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, temperatures may drop by 12 to 14 degrees. Strong winds are also expected in areas north of the Huai River in Henan, Anhui and Jiangsu provinces.
