才22歲的Newton留了一頭超級(jí)有型的雷鬼捲長(zhǎng)髮，加上蓄鬍的酷模樣，雖然讓他的外型看來(lái)比實(shí)際年紀(jì)大很多，但是當(dāng)他開(kāi)口唱歌、彈著吉他，相當(dāng)成熟與滿滿自信即刻湧現(xiàn)，我們更需要一個(gè)有型的歌手，不光只是乾乾淨(jìng)淨(jìng)、斯斯文文或漂漂亮亮的偶像氣質(zhì)包裝。

15歲開(kāi)始學(xué)吉他，並進(jìn)入培養(yǎng)搖滾和流行樂(lè)派的The Academy of Contemporary Music英國(guó)著名音樂(lè)學(xué)院就讀。Newton的第一個(gè)團(tuán)體是專門翻唱Green Day之龐克隊(duì)伍，有了些許舞臺(tái)經(jīng)驗(yàn)後，自組放克搖滾團(tuán)Half A Guy，錄製出的兩張獨(dú)立DEMO，讓他們成為相當(dāng)受歡迎的尚未簽約樂(lè)團(tuán)。隨後以Newton Battenberg Faulkner之名四處表演，順勢(shì)販賣自製的創(chuàng)作EP，引起廣泛討論的Newton，不僅受邀上BBC Radio 2節(jié)目，更入主SONYBMG國(guó)際音樂(lè)大廠旗下。
