布魯（Jesse Eisenberg 配音）是一只世界上極其稀少的藍(lán)色金剛鸚鵡，當(dāng)他還是雛鳥(niǎo)時(shí)，便被可鄙的偷獵者從里約的熱帶叢林中擄到美國(guó)。陰差陽(yáng)錯(cuò)，他變成了小女孩琳達(dá)的寵物，從此相伴多年，如今的阿藍(lán)儼然一個(gè)養(yǎng)尊處優(yōu)的宅男，甚至到忘記了如何飛行。某天，名叫圖里奧（Rodrigo Santoro 配音）的鳥(niǎo)類學(xué)家經(jīng)過(guò)琳達(dá)（Leslie Mann 配音）經(jīng)營(yíng)的書店，他被阿藍(lán)所震驚，并希望能將阿藍(lán)帶回里約，與世上僅存的另外一只雌鳥(niǎo)繁衍后代。
