The Los Angeles coroner's office says autopsy will be performed on Whitney Houston. The 48-year-old singer was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room Saturday. She was also mourned Sunday at a church family attended in Newark, New Jersey.

Nearly a month after a cruise ship capsized in the Italian coast, workers started pumping fuel from the vessel. It will take 28 inconsecutive days to remove the half million gallons onboard.

Rescuers pulled a five-year-old girl alive from the rubble of a house flatten by a massive avalanche that killed both her parents and at least seven relatives in Kosovo. The cold snap in Europe which began in late January has killed hundreds of people, most of them homeless.

And there was one winner at Saturday's 336-million-dollar Powerball lottery. The ticket was purchased in Rhode Island, but no one has come forward to say they have it.
