Under the Skin has released its first official image of Scarlett Johansson in character.

The Avengers star will play a sex-hungry alien in human form in Jonathan Glazer's latest film, which is now in post-production in London.

Under the Skin is described as "part road movie, part science fiction, part real", and is an attempt to show our world through alien eyes. The project was filmed on location in Scotland and London.

The movie will be Glazer's third cinematic offering, following Sexy Beast and Birth. The director co-wrote the screenplay with Walter Campbell, based on the novel by Michel Faber.?On-set images of Johansson from a shoot in Auchmithie, Scotland, previously appeared online.

Under the Skin will be released later this year.
