08年7月21日，天氣晴朗，作為英國總領(lǐng)事館文化教育處的特邀媒體，滬江小編來到了英國總領(lǐng)事館文化教育處，一睹“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目——英國青年中國訪學(xué)”項(xiàng)目的開幕式！

進(jìn)入到了英國總領(lǐng)事館文化教育處，就看到了布置好的一個(gè)小會場，現(xiàn)場色彩明快，此次活動(dòng)是一項(xiàng)由英國首相戈登·布朗(Gordon Brown)先生親自支持并推出的“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目 – 英國青年訪學(xué)”項(xiàng)目。

This programme will take them through a series of inter-cultural experiences in one of these countries that will highlight issues of language, culture, economic growth and development in three of the world's fastest and most important emerging economies.? All Fellows are 18 or 19 years old and finishing full-time education or apprenticeships and are drawn from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds and represent a truly multi-cultural and multi-ethnic England

Shanghai, as the only host city in China, welcomes 39 Fellows this year. It is a new and innovative scheme, which gives the 39 Fellows a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
作為一個(gè)為期三年的項(xiàng)目，“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目 – 英國青年訪學(xué)”每年將為100名英國青年提供國際交流學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會。上海，作為中國唯一的一站，將迎來40名英國各大院校的優(yōu)秀高中畢業(yè)生。他們將在六周的時(shí)間里了解中國的語言及文化，并與中國青年組成調(diào)研小組，圍繞環(huán)境、家庭、教育、全球化和創(chuàng)新精神等與我們生活密切相關(guān)的熱點(diǎn)話題，開展深入的主題調(diào)研。

With their increasing contributions to the global market, China, India and Brazil are currently drawing attention worldwide. 2008 marks the launch of the Prime Minister's Global Fellowship (PMGF), which has the strong support of the UK Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, and which focuses on these three new global economies. PMGF is a pilot programme for 100 young people from England to visit some of the major countries of the new global economy, starting with China, India and Brazil.
那么此次項(xiàng)目的目的又是什么呢？新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體日益成為全球經(jīng)濟(jì)新的強(qiáng)大引擎，中國、印度以及巴西作為新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體主要代表國家，日漸在世界經(jīng)濟(jì)舞臺備受矚目。一項(xiàng)由英國首相戈登·布朗(Gordon Brown)先生親自支持并推出的“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目 – 英國青年訪學(xué)”項(xiàng)目也將目光聚集到這三個(gè)新興經(jīng)濟(jì)體國家。2008年是該項(xiàng)目啟動(dòng)的第一年，此項(xiàng)目為英國年輕人提供海外體驗(yàn)學(xué)習(xí)的機(jī)會，幫助他們了解全球新經(jīng)濟(jì)體的發(fā)展，深刻理解自身應(yīng)該具備什么樣的技能、才智和進(jìn)取精神才能確保在未來國際競爭中立于不敗之地。這體現(xiàn)了英國作為發(fā)達(dá)國家，開始積極與發(fā)展中的新經(jīng)濟(jì)體互相交流學(xué)習(xí)。

下午2點(diǎn)，活動(dòng)正式開始，“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目——英國青年中國訪學(xué)”項(xiàng)目正式啟動(dòng)！

In addition to the 39 Fellows in Shanghai, other groups of 41 Fellows and 20 Fellows respectively will visit India and Brazil. On their return, the Fellows will be asked to tell the story of their trip in the school or college they attend in England and elsewhere within their own community or neighbourhood. They will also be invited to Downing Street to share what they have learnt with the Prime Minister and with one another.
此次參加“英國首相特派項(xiàng)目——英國青年訪學(xué)”的100名英國青年中，除40名來到上海外，另外40名與20名青年將分別前往印度和巴西參與項(xiàng)目安排。在六周訪學(xué)活動(dòng)結(jié)束回國后，他們中的部分代表將有機(jī)會受首相之邀前往唐寧街10號，向首相匯報(bào)他們的訪學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)及體會。

英國首相戈登·布朗在談到此項(xiàng)目時(shí)說：“‘英國首相特派項(xiàng)目——英國青年訪學(xué)’項(xiàng)目將為英國青年提供機(jī)會，讓他們親眼見到展現(xiàn)在我們面前的這個(gè)21世紀(jì)新世界。此計(jì)劃旨在開發(fā)年輕人的才能，培養(yǎng)他們的全球意識和進(jìn)取精神。他們需要這些素質(zhì)來為英國創(chuàng)造一個(gè)成功的未來?！?

特派項(xiàng)目的具體執(zhí)行機(jī)構(gòu)英國文化協(xié)會（在華作為英國大使館/總領(lǐng)事館文化教育處開展工作）的全球首席執(zhí)行官馬丁?戴維森先生說：“英國文化協(xié)會很高興能夠成為這個(gè)重要項(xiàng)目的一員，它將為英國青年提供很好的機(jī)會，幫助他們了解他們自身和英國，在未來的全球經(jīng)濟(jì)里會面臨的機(jī)遇與挑戰(zhàn)?！?
