背景介紹：

時(shí)下，有不少學(xué)子選擇出國(guó)留學(xué)，接受高等教育。然而，國(guó)外教育質(zhì)量參差不齊，尤其是近年來(lái)，“野雞大學(xué)”一詞，頗受關(guān)注與爭(zhēng)議。這也不禁讓我們?cè)俅螌徱?，教育的本質(zhì)與意義。

注：野雞大學(xué)，指一些大學(xué)或?qū)W院隨便向?qū)W生發(fā)出證書(shū)、文憑等，而該些證書(shū)或文憑并不獲部分雇主或一般大學(xué)所承認(rèn)。此類(lèi)院校又被稱(chēng)為“文憑工廠(chǎng)”(Diploma Mill)。通常，該類(lèi)學(xué)校具有以下幾點(diǎn)特征：

1.承諾只需幾百元即可在7天內(nèi)取得學(xué)位
2.沒(méi)有課程也沒(méi)有校園
3.不上課，假稱(chēng)根據(jù)學(xué)生人生經(jīng)歷直接頒發(fā)學(xué)位
4.透過(guò)垃圾郵件宣傳，聲稱(chēng)只須繳付金錢(qián)便立刻取得學(xué)位證書(shū)
5.通過(guò)報(bào)刊雜志等角落做小型廣告
6.超低門(mén)檻(入學(xué)無(wú)任何要求等)

I don't think it's quite wise to accept higher education in the pursuit of diploma. After all, diploma is a single piece of paper only. Instead of several years, education influences one person in his whole life. What education gives us is not only a final result, say, the diploma or the degree.
