The Duchess of Cambridge is pregnant again, Kensington Palace announced this morning.

Kate, 32, whose son, Prince George is just a year old, is expecting her second baby with husband Prince William next year.
Sadly the Duchess of is once again suffering from the debilitating condition hyperemesis gravidarum, which causes extreme sickness in pregnant women.

A senior royal source said: ‘The couple only found out very recently. The Duchess has not even reached the?crucial?12-week stage.'But when it became apparent that she was no well enough to join the Duke on a joint?engagement?in Oxford today and that the number of?forthcoming?engagements could be affected, the Duke and Duchess have taken the difficult decision to be fully open about the pregnancy.’

“She is now little more than six to eight weeks into her second pregnancy – well below the 12-week ‘safe’ point at which mothers-to-be traditionally announce that they are expecting. The new baby is due in the spring, around April.Only a handful of the couple’s closest family and aides – including the Queen and the Middletons – had been told of the news, and only then because her sickness came on again so quickly.

In a statement the palace said: ‘Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child.William, 32, recently announced his decision to put off becoming a full time working royal in favour of taking a new role as an East Anglian air?ambulance?pilot. The new role will allow the couple to bring up their family in the relative privacy of their new home in Norfolk., Anmer Hall. In a statement, Kensington Palace said: 'Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their second child. The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news. As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer?accompany?The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.'

Prince Harry ?spoke of his delight but joked that he will revel in his elder brother's 'suffering'. As he visited competitors training for the inaugural Invictus Games for wounded and injured soldiers, Harry said if the couple's second child is a girl he would 'love to see him try and cope with that'.
