這一次，阿里上市，馬云親自上陣錄制宣傳片。不愧為英語專業(yè)，馬云自然流利的英語解說讓人印象深刻。而其講解詞當(dāng)中諸多的語言點，也成為我們學(xué)習(xí)英語的好素材。

總體來講，馬云的英語表達已經(jīng)相當(dāng)完美。如果大家聽過馬云接受BBC采訪的片段，就會發(fā)現(xiàn)他的臨場對話能力也相當(dāng)出眾，真正的對答如流。

有同學(xué)會問，馬云說的到底是英式英語還是美式英語，答案是，都有。大家在聽這個片段的時候，可以發(fā)現(xiàn)所有單詞當(dāng)中r的時候，馬云都按照美式英語的發(fā)音規(guī)則把這個r在發(fā)音中體現(xiàn)了出來，而且非常自然。然而，在某些詞當(dāng)中，比如small，短片里就是一個非常地道的英音，因為-all這個部分嘴型很圓。當(dāng)然，這些小細節(jié)都瑕不掩瑜。

founder：來自動詞found,。注意：這個found不是find的過去式，是單獨的動詞，意為成立。順帶提一下，大家熟悉的方正電腦的商標(biāo)名正是FOUDNER.
chairman： 這里指“董事會主席”

15 years ago, 18 founders in my apartment had a dream that someday we can build up a company that can serve millions of small businesses.

business： 如果沒有接觸過較多正式的商業(yè)文本，可能不太容易知道business還可以是可數(shù)名詞。是的，可數(shù)名詞時，business的意思是“商業(yè)機構(gòu)”。仔細聽，Jack Ma好像沒有把復(fù)數(shù)給念出來。

Today, this remains our mission (Our vision is the same now as it was when we began) to make it easy to do business anywhere. At Alibaba, we fight for the little guy. The small businessmen and women and their customers. Our role is simple: Through our ecosystem, we help merchants and customers find each other and conduct business on their terms and in ways that best serve their unique needs. We help merchants to grow, create jobs and open new markets in ways that were never before possible.

這里有意思的是：Jack Ma說了括號前的那個部分，字幕顯示了括號里的部分。Mission和Vision這兩個詞也很值得玩味。
on their terms，一個非常重要的詞組，“根據(jù)他們的情況”，這個詞組在BEC中級考試（真題第四輯）的完形填空中就出現(xiàn)過。

significantly,這個詞要念完整很難，Jack Ma還是很認真把這個詞的每一個音節(jié)都說到位，尤其是-ly韻味十足，贊一個。
household name：家喻戶曉的名字

You will hear some details about (from) our business later. But first, let me take you on a journey around china to see some of the real people, real stories that Alibaba has impact on them.

Jack Ma 說了details about, 字幕給了from。此語境下，兩者皆可。
最后的定于從句，嚴(yán)格意義上講是不精確的，最后的them應(yīng)該省略。例如：我們說the girl I met(我見到的那個女孩）,而不說the girl I met her

spirit這個詞很容易念錯。關(guān)鍵就在于p和r之間的i，這個i也應(yīng)該實打?qū)嵉陌l(fā)出來。注意了，雪碧是Sprite（精靈）。
ignite算是個比較高級的詞匯了，意為點燃。但是需要特別注意發(fā)音。
entrepreneur這個詞既難拼寫也難讀準(zhǔn)（但卻是BEC考試的高頻詞匯），Jack Ma讀這個單詞的時候出了點小問題，由于這是來自法語的一個單詞，因此en的發(fā)音為on, 最后的eur發(fā)音應(yīng)該為eh.

With Alibaba's platforms, people are improving their lives today and have hope for a better tomorrow. From our humble beginnings, and throughout the past 15 years, Alibaba has changed commerce in China. Our business has grown, but we never lost sight of our customers. Focusing on solving their problems leads to the best outcome for our business.

commerce，商業(yè)。Alibaba所在的行業(yè)正是e-commerce，電子商務(wù)。commercial的確是它的形容詞，但是別忘記commercial也可以成為一個名詞，最典型的例子：TV commercial.

Alibaba has come a long way, but we want to be a company that can last 102 years. We still have 87 years to go. And we believe one thing, today is difficult, tomorrow is more difficult, but the day after tomorrow is beautiful.

為何是102年？也許這個道理就像蘋果的logo被咬了一口吧。最后的一句非常樸實的翻譯了“道路是曲折的，前途是光明的”。

So we have to work very hard in order to survive the long journey.

survive這個詞的用法很特殊，在某種境遇下生存下來，survive之后無需加介詞。
