Danielle Delph, an art director from Portland, Oregon, always wondered if she would have been friends with her mom if they were the same age.

So Delph decided to take some old photos of her mom and photoshop herself into them.

“I’ve always wondered if my mom and I would have been friends had we grown up together,” she wrote.“

The project took Delph about six months to finish because it required her mother mailing her photos a batch at a time from her home in Florida.

Some of Delph’s mom’s photos were damaged in 2004 when Hurricane Ivan hit Florida, making things even trickier.
