GMAT的寫(xiě)作格式應(yīng)該是formal的。不要企圖使用humor, puns, irony來(lái)表現(xiàn)你的brilliance。那樣會(huì)為你的作文減分的。另外，不要使用cute ,clever quote or pithy remark為你的文章作結(jié)。下面試關(guān)于business ethics的文章中使用remark作結(jié)，讓文章減分的例子：

"Ethics should be left to philosophers and theologians; making money is what business is all about."

"It all boils down to this: What goes around, comes around!"

"Someone once said that no good deed goes unpunished, and that is certainly true when it comes to the motives of a business leader."

"The reality is that if Google can get away with it, then it's ethical."

這樣的結(jié)論在評(píng)分者的眼里，并沒(méi)有體現(xiàn)你的brilliance。相反，這些陳詞濫調(diào)會(huì)給評(píng)分者負(fù)面的影響。他們?cè)谀愕膶?xiě)作中檢索的是有說(shuō)服力和有見(jiàn)解的觀點(diǎn)，并不是這些陳詞濫調(diào)。
