1. forty winks

If you have forty winks, you have a short sleep, or a nap.

E.g. If I have a late night I sometimes catch forty winks on the train on the way to work.

If you give a ballpark figure or a ballpark estimate, you give a number which you think is fairly close to the actual one.

E.g. We don't know the exact cost, but a ballpark figure would be around six million dollars.

If someone has a one-track mind, they spend most of their time thinking about one subject.

E.g. Brian's had a one-track mind since he started his own company. All he thinks about now is business and making money.

4. 盡管極為不利，盡管有極大的困難

If you do something against all odds, or against all the odds, you do it even though there were many problems and it didn't seem possible to do.
如果你做某事極為不利或有極大的困難，那表示雖然有很多困難但你還是要做這件事，不過這件事似乎看起來不可能做到的樣子。

E.g. No-one thought we could do it but, against all the odds, we won the Olympic gold medal.

5. back to square one
5. 從頭再來；回到原始狀態(tài)

If you have to go back to square one, you have to stop and start again, usually because something isn't working as well as expected.

E.g. We were going to start the new company next month, but it's back to square one now that Omar has changed his mind about investing in it.

E.g. The economic recession has really put our new business behind the eight ball. Nobody's spending money.

7. dressed (up) to the nines
7. 打扮的漂亮，穿著整齊（非正式用語(yǔ)）

If you are dressed to the nines, or dressed up to the nines, you are wearing very smart clothes for a special occasion.
如果你打扮漂亮或整齊，那是指你為了某個(gè)特殊場(chǎng)合穿著很精致地衣服。

E.g. Have you seen Harry? He's dressed to the nines and he looks amazing.
例：你看到哈里了嗎？他穿著整齊看起來很贊。
