Luckily, the boxes were not too heavy. They were the standard size photocopy paper boxes. The content of the boxes took up space, but the items themselves were not heavy. Two boxes could be stacked on top of each other and the total weight was still manageable. They just had to walk carefully since with the two boxes stacked up, they could not see their direct path in front. They could only look to the side. At least the stairway was wide enough; the limited line-of-sight should not be a problem.
