我們大家都知道英文語法的重要性。有了扎實的語法基礎，我們才能看懂復雜艱澀的結構，也才能寫出并說出正確的句子。

問題是：我們學了多年的英文，一提到語法就頭痛、心生畏懼，甚至因而心灰意冷，不再想繼續(xù)學英文。究其原因何在？

原來是，傳統(tǒng)的語法書一味守著八大詞類，以切割的方式講解。其結果是，我們只知道一大堆詞性及專門術語，卻不知一個簡單的句子基本結構是什么，真是有一種見樹不見林、完全沒有頭緒的感覺。

節(jié)選：介詞 at 的用法

1. at +建筑物（郵局、車站、銀行、學校等）????? 在某建筑物（可能在其內或其外面）

at the post of?ce / station /bank??? 在郵局/車站/銀行（之內或之外）

例: We're going to meet at the station.（我們將在車站碰面。）

注意

a.城市、國家等則與介詞in連用。

in?the city / my hometown / the United States ?在城市里/我的故鄉(xiāng)/美國

例:There's a famous temple in my hometown.（我的故鄉(xiāng)有一座有名的寺廟。）

b.若強調“在某建筑物內”則介詞仍須使用in。

in?the post of?ce / station / bank??? 在郵局/車站/銀行里

例:My husband works?in this of?ce building.（我先生在這棟辦公大樓上班。）

2. at +人????? 對某人（尤指近距離，常與? yell、point、shout、laugh等動詞連用。 此處at表“朝向＂）

yell / shout at人???? 對某人吼叫/咆哮

laugh at人????? 嘲笑某人

point at人???? 指著某人

例: The man always shouts at his wife when he is angry.（那個男人生氣時總是對他的太太咆哮。）

Don't laugh at the poor beggar,Johnny.（錢寧，不要嘲笑那個可憐的乞丐。）

The teacher pointed at him and said, "I saw you cheat on the test."（老師指著他說：“我看到你考試時作弊?！保?/span>

比較:

point?to...????? 指著遠處的??

例: He pointed to the house on the hilltop and said, "It's my house."?（他指著山頂上的房子說：“那是我的家。”）

3. at與下列名詞連用，表“從事某活動＂：

be at?work???????? 上班, 做事

be at?church????? 做禮拜

be at?school?????? 上學

be at?rest??????????? 休息

例: Selena is at work now; don't bother her.（莎琳娜正在工作，不要打擾她。）

A: Where's Jack? B: He's at church.（甲：杰克在哪里？）（乙：他去做禮拜。）

A: Is Frank at home? B: No, he's at school.（甲：法蘭克在家嗎？）（乙：不在，他在學校。）

You can go ask the manager now; he's at rest in the lobby.（你現(xiàn)在可以去問經(jīng)理；他正在大廳里休息。）

4. at亦與度數(shù)/程度/價格/年齡等與數(shù)詞有關的名詞連用：

at the price / cost / expense of +數(shù)詞?? 以??的價格

at the age of +年齡???????? 在??的歲數(shù)時

at the speed of +速度???? 以??的速度

例: I bought the portable CD player at the price of?$450.?（我以 450 美元的價格買了這臺 CD隨身聽。）

Sandy had her ?rst child at the age of?32.（珊蒂在 32歲時生了第一個小孩。）

She drove at the speed of 28 miles an hour.（她當時以時速 28英里的速度開車。）
