研究生入學考試分為初試和復試兩個環(huán)節(jié)，而面試是各高校復試必不可少的環(huán)節(jié)，也是對于考生能否順利通過研究生考試最重要的一個環(huán)節(jié)。在復試面試當中，導師最愛問的問題之一就是讓學生做一個自我介紹。面試中的自我介紹，可以讓考官觀察到報名表簡歷等書面材料以外的內(nèi)容，如你對自己的描述與概括能力，你對自己的綜合評價以及你的精神風貌等。因為面試時有中文和英文兩部分，英語的考研復試自我介紹一般包括五個部分：開場白、背景、考研原因、未來規(guī)劃、結束語。每一部分都很關鍵，但是考生在介紹的時候也要有所側重，有5個點必不可少。

一、開場白，一般就是一個簡單的問候和寒暄，比較標準的就如：
1.Good morning. I am glad to be here for this interview. First let me introduce myself.
2.Good morning. It’s my great honor to attend this interview.
二、背景，可以介紹關于姓名，畢業(yè)院校等這類內(nèi)容，只要大致介紹一下。參考表達：
1.I am Li Ming. My English name is Jacky Lee. You can call me that if you’d like to. I am majored in Electronic Science and Technology, I will graduate from Xidian University in this coming July.
2.My name is Xiaoming,. I come from Hangzhou, the capital of ZhengjiangProvince. I am going to graduate from the?xx department of xx University in July, 2014.
三、考研原因。這個問題幾乎是每個導師都會關心的問題，因此最好把這個問題就放在自我介紹里面說了。這部分的內(nèi)容我們務必要讓考官感到我們選擇這個專業(yè)是經(jīng)過深思熟慮的，是一個理性的選擇而不是一時沖動。通常我們可以從以下兩個方面來回答。
1.興趣，即強調(diào)對所報考的專業(yè)懷有極大的興趣。如果本科就讀的專業(yè)與報考的專業(yè)一致，則可以說明想繼續(xù)深造的愿望。如果不一致，則要說明報考專業(yè)對你的吸引力優(yōu)勢，即強調(diào)研究生相對于本科生在知識、學術方面的優(yōu)勢，如：知識面更廣，學術更專業(yè)，眼界更廣闊等。例如，
I am deeply impressed by the academic atmosphere when connecting to the web site of your department. In addition， I am attracted by the process of XX， and want to do something for XX.
2.益處，即強調(diào)考研對你的未來的積極影響，對于那些在職考生或有工作經(jīng)驗的考生來說，考官樂于知道他們?yōu)槭裁?放棄工作而)重新學習?？忌梢灾毖栽诠ぷ靼l(fā)現(xiàn)某些知識或技能很重要，希望能通過學習在這些方面進行提高 例如，
1.In my work, I found … is rather important. I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning. So I choose to go back to school and improve myself。
2. I have learnt a lot from my *****job during the past two years. However, I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value. Life is precious. It is necessary to seize any chance for self-development, especially in this competitive modern world.In a word, I am looking forward to making a solid foundation for future profession after two years study here.
四、未來規(guī)劃?？梢栽谧晕医榻B中展現(xiàn)自己對未來的規(guī)劃，其目的在于向老師們展示自己對時間、學習、人生有一定計劃性和掌控能力。參考回答：
1.I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate time. And I hope I can form a systematic view of ... and make a solid foundation for future profession after three years study here. After graduation. I would like to work as a .... I hope that in five years after graduation, I can....
2.I hope I can build up a systematic view of XX， especially in the fields of XX. Sincerely， my wish is to get a complete comprehension of XX. On the other hand， I am dreaming of the participation of some relevant projects of my major， for this reason， I will get more experience in practice.
五、結束語?？忌诮Y束的時候請務必表達出對來目標院校就讀的強烈意愿。并給出一個明確的結束的信號。例如：
1.I would be very honored if you could grant me the opportunity to study in this university. That’s all about my self introduction. Thank you!
2.I hope I can form a systematic view of business management and make a solid foundation for my profession after three years study here.
附上四點小建議：
1、英語不要刻意求華麗，為了效果使用一些不熟悉的詞語，以防到時一緊張想不起來。
2、表現(xiàn)自信落落大方。
3、英語自我介紹應該事先準備好，但不要太長，語言要簡潔。
4、即使英語很好也不要輕視英語。因為研究生復試的英語部分一般是由學校的公共英語或研究生公共英語教研室來考核有些甚至是海龜。
6、內(nèi)容真實。
