一、相互代詞的定義：相互代詞就是表示相互關(guān)系的代詞。它與它所指代的名詞或代詞是一種互指關(guān)系，因此它們是復數(shù)或者二者以上?；ゴ~只有each other和one another兩個詞組。他們表示句中動詞所敘述的動作或感覺在涉及的各個對象之間是相互存在的，例如:
It is easy to see that the people of different cultures have always copied each other.
顯而易見，不同文化的人總是相互借鑒的。

二、一般情況下，相互關(guān)系存在于兩個人或物之間用each other，存在于兩個以上人和物之間用one another?，F(xiàn)代英語中，兩組詞交替使用的實例也很多，例如：
1.We don’t see much of each other.
我們不常見面。
2.We should help each other.
我們應該互相幫助。
3.We may never see each other again.
我們可能永遠不會再見。
4.They soon fell in love with each other.
他們不久就互相愛上了。
5.The sea and the sky seem to melt into each other.
大海和藍天似乎融為一體。
6.They respect one another.
他們互相尊重(對方)。
7.You look as though you know one another.
你們看起來像是互相認識。
8.They were very pleased with one another.
他們相互很喜歡。

三、相互代詞可以加’s，表示所有關(guān)系，如：
1.We should point out each other’s shortcomings.
我們應當指出彼此的缺點。
2.The students borrowed each other’s notes.
學生們互借筆記。
3.They have great concern for one another’s work.
他們很關(guān)心彼此的工作。
