Football Drills - Short Passing Welcome to the Videojug Soccer School, brought to you in association with the Brazilian Soccer Schools. In this film we show you some drills to improve your short passing.
Step 1: Inside of the foot passing You and a partner should stand about ten metres apart. Place a target, no more than one metre wide, between you. Take it in turns passing the ball through the target to each other with the inside of your stronger foot. Make 20 complete passes and then do the same with your weaker foot.
Step 2: Outside of the foot passing Short passing with the outside of your foot can be just as accurate and effective. Stand with a partner ten metres away with a one metre wide target between you. Take it in turns passing the ball with the outside of your stronger foot to each other. Make 20 complete passes and then do the same with your weaker foot.
Step 3: Pass and move In this drill the idea is to pass and move. In a match situation it's a great technique for finding space. Find two other players, pass to one and run between them. The player who receives the ball should pass the ball to the other player and run between you and that player. Keep the movement going as long as you can.
