雅思劍橋真題系列VI的Test 4 分別包括了以藥品經(jīng)銷代表，母親的背景和教育子女的關系以及兒童成長中同伴間相處的問題為內容的三篇文章，本文將就其中考生們普遍感到困惑的難點進行解析，希望對‘烤鴨’們有所幫助，也借此和雅思教學研究者們討論。

第一篇文章‘Doctoring sales’出現(xiàn)了難度系數(shù)極高的List of Headings 題型。在此向各位備考雅思的學生提醒，這種考察綜合能力的題型應該建立在其他細節(jié)判斷題已經(jīng)完成的前提下再來應對，一方面可以更明智更有效地利用時間，另一方面也增強自信心，利于考場發(fā)揮。

在Questions 1-7中，List of Headings 里面列舉了10個Statements, 對應于7道題目，屬于段落標題配對題。其中Q3 可能會導致許多學生在選擇的過程中誤判或糾結，以下列舉：

C段的首句極具欺騙性，它的特殊位置會讓考生極為相信該句就是全段的主題句Topic Sentense: Selling pharmaceuticals is a daily exercise in ethical judgement. 從而有可能選中答案iv. Fighting the drug companies.? 或者由第二句：Salespeople like Schaefer walk the line between the common pratice of buying a prospect's time with a free meal, and bribing doctors to prescribe their drugs. 而誤選答案vi. Gifts include financial incentives, 但事實上，直至讀完全段才會意識到，也才會領略到作者的真正表達意圖：

..., so are doctors to blame for the escalating extravagance of pharmaceutical marketing? Or is it the industry's? responsibility to decide the boundaries?

前面的文字都成為尋找‘誰來負責’的鋪墊，而核心的表達意思在最后一句才得以出現(xiàn)，正確答案應該是iii. Who is responsible for the increase in promotions?

對考生而言，尤其是能力相對較弱的同學，更希望一些應考技巧相對固定，便于運用，但文無定法，并不是每一次每一位作者的寫作風格和特點都完全一樣，這時就需要我們審慎細致。

在筆者執(zhí)教的閱讀材料中有一篇文章的情形也是如此。同樣是List of Headings 題型：

Question 1.? Paragraph A

A段中由于首句并且是首行就出現(xiàn)了異常醒目的St. Augustine..., 令許多學生在瞬間就充滿自信地選中了 IV, 但事實上這只是個Guide, 因為在接下來的描述中方向就轉掉了,討論其他時期的閱讀狀況：

Reading has come to a long way since Augustine's day.There was a time when it was a menial job of scribes and priests, not the mark of civilization it became in Europe during the Renaissance when it was seen as one of the attributes of the civilized individual.

由此可知正確答案是：III

在劍VI的第二篇文章中，Questions14-18 是Summary 題型，其中Q16:

This question has been investigated by 16______________ in Nicaragua.

在備有答案選項的List 中，

C. an international research team

I. a National Literacy Crusade

由于Q16并不是該題目的第一題，在本段Summary 內容中，只需follow 前文即可輕松定位。在Paragraph 3 中，‘In 1979, the government of Nicaragua established a number of social programmes, including a National Literacy Crusade.’

但是只需稍加仔細就會發(fā)現(xiàn)該答案是有問題的，因為該空前文還提到：... there is a? connection between child health and ... , 答案I. a National Literacy Crusade雖然貌似恰當，但并未提及對這二者之間關系的研究，而涉及到這一內容的是下一段：

During this period, researchers from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, the Central American Institute of Health in Nicaragua, ...

可知答案應該是 C.

總之考題特點，應考技巧林林總總，不一而足，建議考生應充分練習，最好加強針對性練習，才能積累寶貴經(jīng)驗，服務于考場，贏取佳績。
